Senate reception at Hamburg City Hall
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Hamburg Center for Health Economics, the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, invited to a reception at the City Hall on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 5 pm. The event took place as a hybrid event due to the currently applicable Corona rules. The celebration was accompanied musically by live cello and guitar.
Welcoming speeches in the large ballroom were given by State Councillor Melanie Schlotzhauer from the Ministry of Labor, Health, Social Affairs, Family and Integration of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the President of the University of Hamburg Prof. Dr. Dieter Lenzen and Prof. Dr. Jonas Schreyögg, Scientific Director of the HCHE.
Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Matthias Augustin, Director of the Institute for Health Services Research in Dermatology and Nursing (IVDP) at the Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and core member of the HCHE moderated through the Research Results live special, Prof. Dr. Jonas Schreyögg explained the results of the 8th survey wave of the European COvid Survey (ECOS). One of the most important findings was that pressure (e.g. from 2G) is counterproductive and by no means an incentive to get vaccinated against corona.
Furthermore, Dr. Larissa Zwar, Research Associate at the Institute for Health Economics and Health Services Research at UKE, described the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on care and actors in informal care.
Finally, Dr. Andreas Gassen, Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung), Dr. Doris Pfeiffer, Chairwoman of the Board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds and Matthias Scheller, Group Managing Director (Chair) Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie discussed the results on the podium.
