HCHE Young Researcher Award
Science thrives on the ideas of young researchers. In order to promote the work of our doctoral candidates, the Scientific Advisory Board of the HCHE will award a prize every two years from 2021 onward for the best health economic paper by young researchers at the HCHE. In 2023, even three prize winners could be awarded.

The award is open to all HCHE members who have not yet received their doctorate or who completed their doctorate in the previous year. The prize can be received only once.
Each paper submitted will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Academic quality
- Contribution to health economics research
- Innovativeness
The Pre-Selection Committee reviews all submissions; the award jury determines the winner based on the evaluation criteria and awards the award.

Award Jury:
The scientific advisory board will award a prize for the best paper from young researchers at the HCHE. It is possible that more than one prize will be awarded. The award winners will receive the following award:
- Award ceremony and certificate
- Travel grant for a research stay with a jury member
We would be very pleased if this award supports the winner in his oder her further career and acts as an encouragement for further research.
Prof. Dr. Mathias Kifmann, core member of the HCHE, formulates the center's aim of the Young Researcher Award: to encourage young researchers to pursue constant curiosity, scientific development and research. The idea for the Young Researcher Award was born in the context of the activities surrounding the 10th anniversary of the HCHE.
