Workshops

The program offers both in-house training sessions on topics such as “Resilience and Well-Being in Academia” and “Unconscious Bias,” as well as the opportunity to participate in external workshops and summer schools to acquire additional professional qualifications. In addition, outstanding female researchers in the field of gender equality are invited to give lectures and participate in panel discussions.
Mentoring and Networking

The mentoring program began in 2025. It is based on the informal sharing of experience between an experienced professor (mentor) and one or two doctoral students (mentees).
Doctoral students are also given the opportunity to build a strong professional network in academia, for example, by attending additional conferences and thus lay the groundwork for further research activities after completing their doctorate.
Care Support

Mothers with young children, in particular, have the opportunity to accept additional support to gain more flexibility in their research, but especially for conference travel. Among other things, we offer:
- Travel for very young children/babies with an accompanying adult, to enable female doctoral students to attend conferences, for example
- Alternatively: coverage of the costs for childcare at home
- Hiring additional student assistants, for example, for routine or administrative tasks
