
Shushanik Margaryan receives HCHE Young Researcher Award 2021

The scientific advisory board today chose Shushanik Margaryan as the winner of the HCHE Young Researcher Award. With this they awarded her work on "Low emission zones and population health" as the best scientific paper from a yound researcher at HCHE. The international jury efforts that the topic is of great policy relevance and shows a refined and exemplary emprical strategy. Furthermore they emphazised that the author demonstrates a means of identifying effects of long term marginal reductions in pollution levels, as opposed to immediate exposure effects (which is most commonly identified in the literature). Last but not least the paper is single authored and was published in a highly ranked journal.
The price was awarded on the HCHE Centerday. HCHE Young Researcher Award was announced for the first time and was invented as a part of the 10 year anniversary of the center. The award is endowed wit the possibility for a research stay.
