What really drives us in the healthcare sector is being investigated by young HCHE researchers, who will present their findings on October 1, 2026, as part of the “Research4Talents” series at the HCHE. The event will explore intrinsic motivation, the power of incentive systems, and the general question of what makes us happy in life. We can already reveal this much: the title theme “Mission: Good Work” is both a result of various research questions and a much-needed model for a good healthcare system.
With its after-work format “Research4Talents”, the HCHE targets young players in the healthcare industry, early-career researchers, young professionals, and students in the field of health economics. Initiated in 2025, the series aims to foster interdisciplinary knowledge transfer, bringing people together in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss health economic research findings and strengthen the dialogue between science and practice.
Following a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Johanna Kokot, three HCHE doctoral students will pitch their research projects on “Motivation and Good Work for a Good Healthcare System”, such as questions regarding the meaningfulness of a job, performance-based payment, or the reasons behind physicians' treatment decisions. The event is held in German. Further information and registration for this free event can be found here.
