
Hamburg Center for Health Economics wins research contract

HCHE was awarded a research, initiated by the central organization of statutory health insurance (GKV), by the German Hospital Federation, and by the Private Health Insurances Association. The research project addresses the question why hospital volume has been significantly increasing in Germany over the last decade. The project is conducted in cooperation with the chair of Health Care Management of the TU Berlin. Prof. Jonas Schreyögg (HCHE) and Prof. Dr. med. Reinhard Busse (TU Berlin) will manage the project in Hamburg and Berlin. The first research results are expected in summer 2014.
