Visiting Scholars at HCHE

For the HCHE it is important to encourage the exchange with international researchers. For this purpose, we accept visiting scholars at the HCHE on the one hand, and support our members in educating themselves further abroad on the other.

Esra Eren Bayindir

Esra Eren Bayindir has been at the HCHE since November 2018. She received her PhD in economics from Harvard University. Her research focuses on health economics and industrial organization.

Stacey Lee

In June 2019, Professor Stacey Lee, from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, in Baltimore, Maryland visited HCHE as a Fulbright Specialist. As part of the U.S. State Department and German government-sponsored program, Lee has spent her time here exploring ways to increase research and teaching linkages between both institutions, particularly in the area of healthcare economics.

Professor Lee’s research interests examine how regulatory and economic constraints influence pharmaceutical manufacturer decisions regarding drug production, pricing, and marketing. In her research and professional interests, she also examines negotiation and mediation approaches to resolving conflict in corporate and healthcare settings.Professor Lee earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law. She joined the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School faculty in 2008. Before entering academia, Lee practiced law for over ten years.
