In view of the current corona pandemic, the German Research Foundation (DFG) has established an 18-member interdisciplinary commission on pandemic research. One of the members is HCHE Director Professor Doktor Jonas Schreyögg.
The commission is composed of members from all scientific fields. It is not only intended to accompany DFG-funded research projects, but also to identify further research needs in the field of epidemic and pandemic research. In particular, inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation is to be promoted.
According to the DFG, the interdisciplinary commission for pandemic research should deal with basic research in the current crisis in order to consider not only medical aspects but also ethical, legal, social, psychological and historical perspectives.
