Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn with the members of the Scientific Commission for a Modern Compensation System (KOMV)
The Scientific Commission for a Modern Compensation System (KOMV), with the participation of Prof. Dr. Jonas Schreyögg, presented its results in Berlin.
For the planned reform of the compensation systems of the public and private health insurance the Scientific Commission for a Modern Compensation System (KOMV), which Prof. Dr. Jonas Schreyögg is a part of, presented their report on the results. It intends a “partial harmonization” of outpatient medical compensation systems. It differentiates between building blocks that are jointly developed and areas in which differences should be consciously preserved. The common building blocks include the definition of medical services. Due to the very different forms of insurance, the Commission continues to recommend a separate agreement on the prices for public and private health insurance. The scientists' recommendations also include the strengthening of uniform standards of quality. Coordination between outpatient and inpatient care should also be promoted.
