Better networking of medical and social care and low-threshold services have been shown to improve health care for people in the Billstedt and Horn districts of Hamburg. This is shown by the final report of the scientific accompanying evaluation of the INVEST project, which the Hamburg Center for Health Economics at the University of Hamburg published today.
"Based on the evaluation results to date, we recommend that INVEST be transferred to standard care," says Prof. Dr. Eva Wild, INVEST project manager at HCHE. The improved care and satisfaction of insured persons and stakeholders in health care already show that INVEST could be a model for other socially disadvantaged metropolitan regions in Germany.
The (german) brief report on the evaluation accompanying the project can be viewed here as well as the long version.
