The HCHE's research seminar series will kick off the upcoming summer semester on April 14, 2025 with a varied program. National and international guests will present their health economics research in Hamburg. Samantha Pollard and Deirdre Weymann from Simon Fraser University (Canada) will discuss the evaluation of certain oncology case studies, Martin Halla from WU Vienna will talk about intra-firm spillovers of suicides, Sabine Steinke from Bielefeld University will examine cost-effectiveness and quality of care regarding a certain dermatosis, Michael Kuhn from the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis will speak about inequality in life expectancy across income groups, Daniel Wiesen from the University of Cologne will talk about the stability of social preferences and Meghan I. Esson from the University of Iowa is researching the topic of private equity in public-provider markets.
HCHE research seminars provide a platform for HCHE members and other interested persons. We invite scientists to introduce their latest health economic research projects. These seminars take place on selected mondays from 4:30 to 5:45 pm.
