Where: Zentrum für nachhaltiges Forschungsdatenmanagement, Monetastraße 4, 20146 Hamburg
Under the direction of Dr. Juliane Jacob, this workshop teaches the central basics of research data management. The aim is to provide doctoral researchers with the necessary knowledge and practical tools to manage research data efficiently, securely and in accordance with the rules of good scientific practice. Concepts such as the life cycle of research data, data management plans (DMP), FAIR principles, legal and ethical aspects as well as strategies for long-term archiving, documentation and re-use of data will be covered. In addition to theoretical input, the workshop also includes practical exercises, e.g. on creating a DMP based on the University of Hamburg's checklist. The event shows how good research data management can contribute not only to quality assurance, but also to a successful doctorate.
