PhD Course "Decision Theory"

Led by Prof. Dr. Richard Peter and Prof. Dr. Petra Steinorth, this course focuses on normative and descriptive decision theories under risk and uncertainty and their application in the field of medical decision-making. The aim is to provide participants with a sound introduction to central theoretical concepts and to clarify their significance for decisions in the healthcare sector.

Participants will learn to recognize, explain and critically discuss theoretical models and apply them to issues in medical care. In addition, they should be able to develop research-relevant hypotheses based on normative or descriptive decision theories.
