PhD Course - Academic writing & research integrity

This course will introduce students to the world of academia. We will discuss typical models for a scientific career, introduce into journal rankings and explain peer-review processes. We will then discuss how to structure scientific papers and getting them ready for submission and how to best tackle the later revision of a paper. We will discuss research integrity, including ‘good scientific practice’ and also discuss differences in academic culture between business administration, economics and medicine.
The course is designed for PhD students of the Research Training Group ‘Managerial and economic dimensions of health care quality’ and it will but special emphasis on the subdiscipline of health economics / health care management.
This course will be held in English.
