On 25 and 26 October 2019, the second Risky Health Behaviors Workshop will take place at the Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE). The meeting offers international researchers the opportunity to discuss risky health behaviors and their economic implications and reasons. Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, overweight, unprotected sex - risky lifestyles not only have consequences for the individual, but also have a strong influence on society. With a total of 26 lectures, the Risky Health Behaviors Workshop provides a broad overview of the current state of research in areas such as smoking, physical (in)activity, alcohol and drugs. Renowned keynote speakers for the workshop will be Professor Jody L. Sindelar from Yale University and Professor Christopher Ruhm from the University of Virginia.
