
From suspicion to confidence - How people judge the current COVID 19 situation

How much trust do people have in the new normality? A representative study led by HCHE shows that only 44.4% of people in Europe feel that the speed at which restrictions were lifted is right. Also, many citizens have little confidence in the implementation of hygiene and distance rules in gyms, religious sites and restaurants. Supermarkets, hairdressers, hospitals and doctors' surgeries do much better. On the other hand, financial and economic worries - both personal and community - are diminishing. Around 7,000 people in Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy and France were surveyed in June.
