Even though many people in Germany are concerned about the economic situation in the country, the majority of them support the current measures and are rather optimistic about their own financial and social situation in the coming six months. This is shown by the latest figures from the HCHE representative survey of more than 7,000 people in Germany and six other European countries.
In addition, the people were asked about their assessment of whether they can celebrate Christmas with their families. While the respondents in Italy, France and Portugal are rather restrained in this respect, in Germany almost every second person believes in celebrating Christmas with their family. In Denmark it is even 66%.
All results of the fourth survey wave can be found on our Corona research page.
